Abstract

Sorghum straw (."io rghum vulgare) pure and sorghum straw mixed with peanut hulls (Arachis hypogaea) in a I.
ratio were used as substrates in th e cultivation of the edible mushroom l'lcumtus o.,·trcalus (strain INIREB-8). A
biological efficiency of 132.32 ± 15.34% was produced on sorghum straw. decreasing it to 108.45 ± 18.39% in the
I: 1 mixture. Spent substrates found acceptance as fodder
