Abstract

Gymnopilus underwoodi (Peck) Murril] is recorded for the first time from Guatemala. Furthermore a bibliographic
review is made of the species of the genus known to Central America and the Antilles, from which resulted 21 species
of Gymnopilus cited for this región. From them, almost all have been recorded to the Antilles, except two species
known from Costa Rica.
