Note on Hirsutella saussurei, A Hyphomycete pathogenic on social wasps

social wasps, is registered in Mexico for the f irst time. The studied
spec i men is a wasp of the species 'Pvli-1-te-1 sp., which was found i n Candelaria
Loxica, Oax aca, Mexi co . This note includes original photographs of
the infected wasp and of the synnemata, phialides, and conidia of the
fungus.
