Conidial fungi from cloud forest: some foliicolous and leaf litter species unknown from Mexico

Abstract

In order to study the diversity of the foliicolous and leaf litter fungí, green leaves and leaf litter were
collected from a cloud forest located in the State of Veracruz. Leaf samples were collected from Liquidambar styraciflua,
Queráis germana and Q. xalapemis. Samples were placed into damp chambers. Fifteen conídial füngi are described for the first
time from México. Comments about their distribution and sustrates are provided
