Abstract

Trámeles versicolor grows well on oat-agar, potato-dextrose-agar, and malt-agar. It shows a better development in
continuous light than in altérnate light-darkness or continuous darkness. Ultraviolet light slightly stimulates fungal
growth. The best pH range was 4 to 4.5, although good growth can be achieved at pH 5 to 5.5. Optimum temperature for
mycelial development was 30°C; however, the fimgus can grow from 20 to 35°C. Triadimenole, propiconazole,
difenoconazole, and tebuconazole, all systemic triazolyl fungicides, inhibited or completely prevented fungal growth,
likewise, the mixture of PCNB and Thiram was effeetive.
