Abstract

A taxonomic study based on the analysis of 35 species of Ascomycetes from Sonora, México is presented. Eight genera
and twenty-eight species are reponed for the first time for this state. The analyzed species belong to the following
families: Hypomycetaceae (1), Hyaloscyphaceae (1), Helotiaceae (1), Clavicipitaceae (3), Xylariaceae (16), Helvellaceae
(9), Morchellaceae (1) and Pezizaceae (3). Árachnopeziza aurelia (Pers.: Fr.) Fuckel and Helvella ephippium Lev. are
new records for the Mexican mycobiota.
