Contribution to the knowledge of the species of the genus Volvariella in the State of Jalisco

The genus Volvariella has been poorly studied in the State of Jalisco, where
only 3 species ar e known:~. bakeri (Murr.) Shaff., ~· bombycina (Schaeff. : Fr .)
Sing. and~· speciosa var. gloiocephala (DC. : Fr.) Sing. In the present paper V.
earlei (Murr.) Shaff . ,~· lepiotospora Sing .,~ · parvula (Weinm.) Speg. and~·
speciosa (Fr. : Fr.) Sing. var. speciosa are reported for th~ firct time from
Jalisco's mycoflora, the first one is a new record for Mexico. Also new localities
of~· bakeri and V. bombycina are presented
