Abstract

Following the ecológica! studies on the production of the wild edible
mushrooms, started by the authors in 1983 in the Cofre de Perotó reglón (State of
Veracruz),the information obtained during 1985 is presentad. Twenty nine species
were studied. The annual production in the Pinus forest was of 4.650 fructifications
(233.93 K) by hectare, and in the Pinus-Abies forest was 10,800 fructifications
(180 K) by hectare. The variation in fructifications production during the year, the
type of growth and substrate, and the influence of the temperature and rainfall is
discussed.
