Abstract

Nine Xywria species growing on dried leaves of
trees of Mexico, are reported. Six species were collected in tropical forests, two in a cloud forest, and one in
an oak-pine forest. Xylaria castilloi, X. eugeniae, X. mexicana, and X. diminuta are proposed as new to
science. Anamorphic characters of X. castilloi, X. delicatuw, X. mexicana, and X. phyllocharis are described.
For the considered taxa a dichotomic key is provided.
