Abstract

The phenology and epidemiology of Mycosphacrella mimosicola (Doth.idiales). a pathogen of the giant sensitive
plant, Mimosa aspera/a, were srudicd in two counties at Veracruz State, Mexico. The pathogenic fungus was
present throughout the year, but it was most frequent during the dry season. The highest percentage of incidence
was 86o/o and the foliar damage was 57% being recorded during January.
