New records of the fungi of the polypores group from Veracruz State

Abstract

Fifty five species of Polypores from the central area of the State of
Veracruz (11exico) were studied. These species belong to 35 genera of the families
Ganodermataceae, Hymenochaetaceae, and Polyporaceae. Only 9 species are des~ribed of
which 5 are new records from ~texico: Inonotus tomentosu·s (Fr.) Teng , Oligoporus
obductus (Berk.) Gilbn. & Ryv . (from Veracruz and Coahuila States), Pachykitospora
papyracea (Schw.): Ryv., Skeletocutis amorpha (Fr.) Kotl. & Pouz. and Spongipellis
pachyodon (Pers .) Kotl. & Pouz. from the Polypor aceae . Ten species are also reported
for the first time from the State.
