Resumen

Information on the ecology and distribution of 88 species of macromycetes Ascomycetes and Basidiomycetes in the State of .Jalisco (Mexico) is here presented. The ecological zones considered in the State of .J a lisco are: I) Tropical forest; 2) Coniferous and oak forests (divided in pine-oak forest and fir forests); 3) Substropical forests; and 4) Grassland and arid scrubs. Of these, the firsti s the most important because has the largest number of the species here considered. The coniferous and oak forest follow that in mycological importance. Common species in the Tropical forests are those of the genera: Daldinia, Hypox)'lon, Poronia, Cookeina, Phillipsia, Cymatodenna, Schizophyllum, Panus, Volvariella, Clathrus, Panaeolus antillarum, P. 11·opicalis and Calvatia rubm-flava, and the great majority of the Polyporaceae. Common species in the coniferous and oak forests are the mycorrhizic genera as: Otidea, Helvella, ClavariaddjJhus, Amanita, Lactarius, Lycoperdon, Geastrum, Pisolithus and Sclerodenna. Species of the Subtropical forests (this ecological zone and the Grassland and arid scrubs are poorly studied in .Jalisco State on the mycological aspect) are: St1·obilom.yces floccopus, Calostoma 1·evenelii, Scleroderma texense and S. venuromm. Species of the Grassland and arid scrubs are Calvatia cyathifomzis, Vascellum pmtense and some fimicolous and subfimicolous agarics (Panaeolus, Conocybe, Coprinus, Stmpharia, Agm·icus campeso·is). Species first reported of the mycoflora of Mexico are: Hypoxylon rubiginosum Pers. ex Fr. var. lTopica. iviiii., Otidea onotica (Pers. ex Fr.) S. F. Gray, Cymatodenna cape-ratum (Berk. & Mont.) Reid, Polyporus nidulans Fr., P. crista/ us Fr., Hexagona hi1·ta (Pal. ex Fr.) Fr., Volvm·iella bakeri (lvfurr.) Schaff., Agaricus volva/us Mart., Conocybe lactea Kiihn., Russula ochroleuca Pers. Ex Fr., Calostoma ravenelii (Berk.) Mass. and Calvatia ntbro-flava (Cragin) Lloyd.
