Abstract

Fusaríum oxysporum Schelecht. ex Fr. emend. Snyder & Hansen is described
from a mycelium growing on a fisch badly preserved in formalin in the Collection
of the Department of Zoology of the Escuela Nacional de Ciencias Biológicas of
the I.P.N. at México City. A culture on Sabouraud was obtained from that mycelium.
Microconidia, macroconidia, conidiosphores and chlamydospores agree well
with the description of Booth (1969, 1971). This is the fírst report of F. oxysporum
in such substratum, although this species is one of most variable in the genus.
Booth (1971) considered 76 forms.
