This paper presents the Erysiphales reported from Mexico. It is based on
data obtained fmm specimens depositf:'d in the herbaria MEXU and OEE, and
from literature consulted. The fungi here cited correspond to species of the
genera Erysiphe, lvlicrosphaem, Oidium, Phyllactinia, Podosplwem, Sphaeroth
eca an Uncinula. Most of the herbarium specimens and bibliographical references
refer to the central part of Mexico. i\·lost localities where Erysiphales
have been reported belong to the State of Mexico; other States in which these
fungi have been found are, in decreasing order of localities cited, Guanajuato,
Michoacan and Distrito Federal. Up to now Erysiphe polygoni is the most
frecuent species recorded in tne States of the Country.
