Abstract

This paper is the first of a serie of papers in order to increase the knowledge of the
specific richness of anamorphic saprobes fungi in the State of Tabasco. Plant debris collected
from two protected areas located in the centre and surroundings of Villahermosa city was
analized. A total of 29 species are listed; 17 are reported from Mexico for the first time. Since
there were not publications about this kind of fungi on the region, all the species are new
records from Tabasco. For all the unknown species from Mexico, besides their taxonomic
description, information about their geographical distribution is included
