Abstract

A study of 65 species of polypores proceeding f r om
197 specimens collected in 5 localities of the Biosp here Reserve
El Cielo, Tamaulipas, Mexico is presented. Four of these species
belong to Ganodermataceae, 18 to Hymenochaetaceae and 43 to
Polyporaceae i· str. Three species are recorded for the fi r st
time to Mexico and they are: Humphreya coffea t um (Ber k.)
Steyaert, Phe1linus sonorae Gilbn. and Oia canthodes
novo - guineensis (Henn .) Fidalgo . The distribution of 65 species
in the vegetation of the Biosphere Reserve is discussed
