Abstract

Thirty three species of polypores belonging to 19 genera of 3 families were
studied. The Family Polyporaceae (s. str.) is the best represented with 23 species,
followed by Hymenochaetaceae with 6 species and Ganodermataceae with 4
species. The material proceeding from 125 collections made in 15 localities of
Sierra Gorda of the Guanajuato State. All species are recorded for the first time in
Guanajuato and 2 of them in México: Tyromyces chioneus (Fr.) Karst, and 7".
fragilis (Fr.) Donk.
