Abstract

A total of 118 species of fungí (5 Ascomycetes and 113 Basidiomycetes) are registered
in the Península of Baja California, frequenting the Northern regions as much as
the South, and coming from 49 localities. The majority of these species, first cited in
spite of the scarcity of mycological studies in the región. Those species most abundant
are: Helveüa elástica, H. íacunosa, Omphalotus olearius, Lactarias zonarius, Podaxis pistillaris,
Battarrea stevenü, Pisolithus tinctorius, Astraeus hygrometncus and Cyathus olla and have been
registered as occuring in more than 4 localities. Radiigera atrogleba was registered for
the second time in México, the first citing of this species was in 1971 in the State oí
Morelos.
