Plants tested in this experiment -were clover (Trifolium pratense), onion
(Allium cepa), corn (Zea mays) and sorghum (Sorghum vulgare). Ten weeks
after inoculation with spores of Glomus mosseae, G. fasciculatus, Gigaspora
calospora and G. gigantea we could observe into the cortical cells of plants
different fungal structures characteristics of the vesicular-arbuscular mycorrhiza.
Determination of plants dry weight at this time showed in some cases positive
differences among uninoculated arid inoculated plants; onion inoculated with
Glomus mosseae liad a grqwth increase of 103.00%.
