Abstract

Five taxa of Mycena section Sacchariferae are described macro- and microscopically as new records for Mexico. The studied species are:
Mycena chloroxantha var. chloroxantha, M. chloroxantha var. appalachienensis, and M. spinosissima, wich belong to the stirp Amparoina,
for the universal veil with cherocytes, and M. cylindrispora and M. incarnativelum, wich belong to the stirp Alphitophora for the
absence of cherocytes and for having caulocystidia completely covered by spinulae. The studied specimens are from the states of Veracruz
and Oaxaca, from cloud forests or coffee plantations
